A civil and transportation systems engineer developing digital twins for resilient, safe, and sustainable urban mobility infrastructure.Â
I am a civil and transportation engineer and traffic-flow modeler, with a PhD in Civil Systems Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. My work focuses on transforming traffic-flow theory into practical decision-making tools for safer, more efficient, and more reliable motorways and urban corridors.
I develop macroscopic traffic models, digital twins, and data-driven tools for traffic state estimation, safety assessment, and operational control. My research integrates traffic-flow modeling with deep learning and physics-informed learning to estimate traffic conditions and support control strategies such as variable speed limits, ramp metering, and proactive traffic management.
I aim to develop collaborations with industry partners, public agencies, and research institutions to translate advanced traffic modeling into practical mobility solutions. My experience supports applications in traffic monitoring, digital twin development, safety evaluation, intelligent transportation systems, and resilience-oriented mobility planning, with applications across the globe.
